Prior to his role as an Associate Attorney, Marcus served as a Legal Researcher and Trial Assistant at Neal Ashmore Family Law Group. In this role, he conducted extensive legal research, drafted court documents, and played a key role in managing filing systems and transitioning to "paperless" files.
Marcus's passion for family law stems from his time at South Texas College of Law, where he served in the school's family law clinic, providing legal representation to underprivileged and indigent individuals. This experience allowed him to develop practical litigation skills and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by those in need of legal assistance.

Before embarking on his legal career, Marcus worked as a Junior Geologist at Miranda Gold, where he assessed land in northern Nevada and Utah for gold mining potential. His responsibilities included discovering, staking, mapping, plotting, perfecting, and registering gold mining claims with the State of Nevada.

Marcus holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from Western Colorado University.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Marcus is actively involved in various certifications and associations. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is a member of the Denton County Bar Association and the Dallas County Bar Association. Marcus has a diverse background in extracurricular activities and associations. He was a member of the South Texas Public Interest Law Society during his time at South Texas College of Law and actively participated in the Western State College of Colorado Politics Club, where he served as Treasurer. Marcus also served as a member of the Western State College of Colorado Mountain Rescue Team, developing valuable skills in handling emergencies and working as part of a team. Marcus has also served as an Attorney Panelist at the Topaz Film Festival, showcasing his expertise and commitment to the legal profession.
